Eye Health Information
At Kaukauna Eye Care your visit is important to us. You can expect to be treated as an individual, not just another patient, regardless of the reason for your visit. If you are having a comprehensive eye exam, your visit will begin with a qualified technician who will measure your vision and eye movement, color vision, depth perception and perform a preliminary lens refraction.
After these initial tests, Dr. Ebben or Dr. Magiera will examine your eyes for disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and retinal problems. The doctor will then explain the results of your examination and give instructions for future care.
If the exam indicates the need for further special testing, such as visual fields or retinal photographs, these tests will be performed and evaluated by the doctor. Some of these tests may need to be scheduled at a separate appointment. If surgery or other treatment has been recommended by your doctor, your options will be explained to you in detail.
